We have a setup where we use exchange for sharing/syncing emails across computers, and pop3 email accounts for the actual sending and receiving Since upgrading from vista to windows 7 my email filtering program (mailwasher pro) cannot find the default email program (windows live mail). We set the pop3 email account as the default account to send from.

Check default email settings on your computer, go to settings > default apps, and verify that outlook is not being repeatedly triggered as the default email app due to the survey. There may be a simpler and faster solution. However, when i went into the account settings and tried to set the default data file back to the one for my outlook.com account, it gave me this error

Outlook data files (.pst) must use the same format as offline outlook data files (.ost). The default can't be changed permanently and the prior procedure will allow you to scroll and change it and the size when you access the send feature
